|
|
Hi alex,
I test the time of my windows server by NTP test. If test is bad, i'd like the W32time service to be restart.
so I've created an "restart" action. My problem is "stop service on" field. If I put the name of my server it work. but if I put a variable %ServiceComp% or %HostAddr%, It doesn't work.
Could you tell me what variable i've to use. I can't find it in the help file.
Thanks.

You cannot use %ServiceComp% macro because this macro relates to Service test method. I think you can use "\\%HostAddr%" macro if you have specified path to the server as IP address or as hostname (not full domain name), e.g. 192.168.10.15 or primaryserver (do not forget to use "\\" prefix)

No, it doesn't work. with the "\\" or without.
I've try to put the name of the server in commentline and use the
%commentline1% variable and it work.
But I'd prefere to use the server field.
Any other idea?

H'm, sometimes its good to read the manual.
I checked the manual and now I know that %HostAddr% variable is not supported by NTP test method (HM version 4.42).
I made some changes, update available at www.ks-soft.net/download/hm446.zip
