|
|
I have setup a file availability test with the following options on a Windows 2000 network.
Uses RMA to run test
File/Folder name is c:\mailengine\mailq\working\*.*
Translate macros is on
I have the alert when set as File exits and older than 30 minutes.
I have a file in the folder that has a date created and date modified being yesterday but the last accessed time was 2 minnutes ago.
The test returns an OK when it runs. I would like it to alarm since there is a file there that is older than 30 minutes.
Could you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you,

File Availability test checks single file. If you use wildcards, it checks first matched file.
If you need to check whole folder, use Count Files test method instead. This test method has option to check age of the files as well.

You can also check the lifetime of a folder is you set a path without a file.
The folder date/time is changed when a file within that folder is changed, added, removed.
