Hello,
I have a strange problem with SNMP interface queries on Cisco switches. I can no longer query the interface on a few switches with NIS (Network Interface Status).
I always get the error: “Descriptions list mismatch”. The funny thing is that it does not affect all switches. The switches have the same firmware and all other SNMP settings are identical. It has already worked with some of the switches. Sometimes it worked again after a restart of the switch and sometimes it didn't work anymore on switches where it worked before.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
NIS problem with Cisco
Re: NIS problem with Cisco
This means Cisco interfaces table looks wrong, e.g. device returns 10 as number of interfaces, returns 10 rows with interface indexes but returns just 8 rows for interface description and interface speed.
