After rebooting all servers (including the HostMonitor servicer itself) it seems to have sorted itself out.
Don't understand why but main thing is that it is fixed |

I don't think update is the reason...
What exactly error did you see in Reply field of the tests?
Windows?
Service Pack?
UAC mode?
HostMonitor running as service or application?
What account used for HostMonitor process?
Have you specified correct accounts for these tests using "Connect as" test property or Connection Manager?
Regards

Reply shows "Unknown"
HostMonitor system is Windows 2008 R2 with SP1
UAC - Default (Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer)
HostMonitor runs as a service
Have set up a AD service account for Host monitor (with Domain Admin rights)that it starts with and also uses for connecting (always via connection manager; I never define on individual tests) |

Can't reproduce problem anymore; as I indicated previously it eventually resolved itself after reboot of systems. |

|
|
Yesterday I upgraded HostMonitor to 13.92 (from 13.50) and a number of our service tests started to fail with a Status of "Unknown" and a Reply of "Win32 error #5 Access is denied".
I tested the entries in the credential manager and there is no issue, they are valid.
The only way I got to work was to tick the "Connect as" in each of the tests and add credentials (the same one from Connection Manager).
This works but not ideal if there is a password change as we need to update each test rather then just in Connection Manager |
