Hi all,

From time to time, we find that tests have been disabled or paused indefinately during troubleshooting or configuring target systems.
And then forgotten to enable/unpause again.
So I was thinking, it would be handy to have a test that counts disabled and/or paused tests...
Anyone tried something like that?

Thanks!
Kris

Hi Alex,

We already have views for disabled and paused tests.
Event though these are very informative, they don't have a 'signaling' function.
So maybe some variables like %DisabledTestsCount% and %PausedTestsCount%, maybe even filterable with a 'where' clause to select specific folders or test names, you name it hehehehe

Hi Alex,

While testing, I found that the variable %HM_PAUSEDITEMS% reports 1, when there aren't any paused tests

We cannot reproduce the problem.
Check for Paused and OutOfSchedule items

OK, here's what happened next:

- The %HM_PAUSEDITEMS% variable reported 1, while no test were paused.
- I paused 1 test en checked on %HM_PAUSEDITEMS% again, still reported 1
- I resumed the paused test and checked on %HM_PAUSEDITEMS% again, now showing 0

So I can't reproduce it either...

Not sure if there were any OutofSchedule tests at that very moment, there aren't any now.
Not sure how to force a test to get OutofSchedule status though

Good point

So I tested stuff.

1) Paused tests count for %HM_PAUSEDITEMS% AND show up in the Paused tests view (%StatusID%=='13') AND show up in the OutofSchedule tests view (checkbox 'Out of Schedule')
2) Out of Schedule tests also count for %HM_PAUSEDITEMS% AND show up in the OutofSchedule tests view (checkbox 'Out of Schedule') but DON'T show up in the Paused tests view (%StatusID%=='13')

Good enough for me
