|
|
Hi All,
I hope somebody can help me. I'm trying to setup a performance counter test to a remote server. The perfcounter is for bandwidth check and everything seems fine.
I used the test settings below:
Method = PerfCounter
;--- Common properties ---
;DestFolder = Root\
Title = PerfCounter: Bytes Total/sec
Disabled = Yes
Comment = PerfCounter: \\MyServerFQDN\Network Adapter(Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapter)\Bytes Total/sec
RelatedURL =
CmntPattern = PerfCounter: %path%
ScheduleMode= Regular
Schedule =
Interval = 5
Alerts =
Alerts2 =
ReverseAlert= No
UnknownIsBad= Yes
WarningIsBad= Yes
UseCommonLog= Yes
PrivLogMode = Default
CommLogMode = Default
MasterAFresh= No
;--- Test specific properties ---
PerfCounter = \\MyServerFQDN\Network Adapter(Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapter)\Bytes Total/sec
Condition = LessThan
Value = 13293,06
DisplayMode = BytesToMB
Username = MyDomain\Username
Password = MyPassword
Now from the test UI when I press the button "Get value" it seems to be working fine, but when I apply the test to let it run, it returns an unknown saying that the server does not exist or is not reachable. I confirmed that it is and I see the actual logon session on the remote server that is created by this test. Also the user in this test has bee given the administrative rights on the remote server for trouble shooting purposes but it did to change anything.
Am I missing something here?
Kind regards

So you are using RCC GUI while HostMonitor running as service? On the same system? different system?
What account do you use to start HostMonitor service (check Windows Services applet)?
HostMonitor version?
Windows version (on HostMonitor and remote system)?
Regards

Local system account does not allow to perform Windows related tests (CPU Usage, Process, Service, Registry, NT Event Log, Performance Counter...)
Please provide account with necessary rights using Windows Services applet. Performance Counter test requires account with Performance Monitor rights (Power User or Admin will work as well).
