Is it possible to let the RMA agent log all results locally, and *only* sent the failures back to HostMonitor, only a heartbeat test for the status of the RMA agents should be defined. This again would reduce the network traffic needed.
Off course you don't want to loose the logging, so it must be possible to retrieve the local (remote) logging on 'off peak' hours.

It sounds like task for HostMonitor 5.0 Actually we have big plans for distributed monitoring system... But not right now.

Not to big I hope , since monitoring from one system is something I also want to use in the future. Distributed monitoring is (in my opinion) only needed over slow connections (and we don't have many of them).
The fact I don't have to install an agent on the remote machine is why we have HM in the first place. |

I see your point. Of course you will not need to install some agents on every system. E.g. remote agent can monitor just system where its running or it can check whole network.
