Hello

we're getting the SMTP Error randomly on some Tests.
SMTP client error: Error reading ResultsMemo.Lines.Strings: System Error. Code: 8. Not enough storage is available to process this command
SMTP client error: Error reading ResultsMemo.Lines.Strings: System Error. Code: 1400. Invalid window handle

Ressources are free. C:\ 20 GB
Incoming allowed connections to Mailserver are 5000.
SMTP Mail Alerts are not possible at this time. Some Tests failed, some not...
Reboot the KS Monitoring service reseolves the issue..
Exchange TransportLogs are showing no errors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you use ODBC logging or ODBC test method? If yes, what ODBC driver do you use?

Windows?
Service Pack?
Do you have installed some antivirus monitors, personal firewall, content monitoring software? Non stanard winsock components?

Could you check resource usage for each process? You may use standard Windows Task Manager to check Handles, GDI and USER objects. What is the total resource usage on the system? How many handles/threads/GDI objects used by hostmon.exe process?

Could you setup HostMonitor to check for resources as well using Memory and Dominant Process test methods (check handles, threads, VMem)?
Please use private log file for these tests, Full logging mode

What HostMonitor version was used before update?

Regards
Alex

- We don't use ODBC Tests

Windows?
- Server 208 R2

Service Pack?
- SP1

Do you have installed some antivirus monitors, personal firewall, content monitoring software? Non stanard winsock components?
- No

- i can check it next time the error Occurs... at the moment no errors appearing..

Could you setup HostMonitor to check for resources as well using Memory and Dominant Process test methods (check handles, threads, VMem)?
Please use private log file for these tests, Full logging mode

- This Test Methods are working fine. Logging settings are set.

What HostMonitor version was used before update?

Hostmon 9.9 No such errors
Hostmon 10.20 Error appeared first
Hostmon 10.30 Error appeared 1 time until now.

Think we observe the behavior until the error occurs again.
Then i'll collect the answers for you.

Thanks anyway!

Sorry, I do not understand you.
What is "clear messages"?

Also, its hard to see screen shot because of full screen advertising window.
Could you just copy error message from the log (HostMonitor system log)?

Hi Alex,

here Screenshots with directupload.net
Should work also without adblocker

Taskmanager
http://www.directupload.net/file/d/4603/uev4za5h_jpg.htm

Sorry dont't know which log you mean... Hostmonitor - Syslog? Its a 2 GB HTML File from 2016...

Error Messages in the log.

With CLEAR Messages i mean the Mail if the Error disappearing.

Alert = Error
Clear = Error gone. Alert superseded.

Could you setup HostMonitor to check for resources as well using Memory and Dominant Process test methods (check handles, threads, VMem)?

i have tests with Memory and Dominant Process and set logfile to private log / full logging Mode.

[16.01.2017 10:27:20] Free Physical memory (gwksbs01) Ok 9041 Mb Memory (gwksbs01) 8458
[16.01.2017 10:29:22] Free Physical memory (gwksbs01) Ok 9031 Mb Memory (gwksbs01) 8458

I observe the behavior of the Logfile.

Should i change the delay Value here?

Hope you understand what i'm mean. Sorry for my bad english

regards

What about Handles, Threads, VMem?

Problem caused by some application that uses too much system resources. We need to find that application.
This setting will not fix anything

Do you have installed some antivirus? Which one?
Some non standard software like personal firewall?

Alex

We don't need entire log. Just check last records, you should see error there (and may be some other related errors) - much more informative than small screen shots.

Hi Alex,
Can you show me where I can find this log?

Then I can send it to you gladly. The error still occurs
Only a KS Service Reboot helps Until next time.

- We dont use Windows Firewall
- Antivirus is also not installed on this VM.

Best regards

What kind of log? HostMonitor system log? Path to the file specified on System log page in Options dialog.
We still need information regarding resource usage, you did not provide information we need. Please use Task Manager and HostMonitor Dominant Process tests (Handles, Threads, VMem...)

That we can use the remote console of the host monitor can not be the reason?
Wordaround is currently creating a scheduled task, which will restart the KS service every 6 h

Here is the Taskmanager View.

https://www.pic-upload.de/view-32674412/KS.jpg.html

I will create the tests for out Monitor Host and then give feedback.

Don't see anything wrong...
Have you checked resources at the same time when HostMonitor records the following error into log?
SMTP client error: Error reading ResultsMemo.Lines.Strings: System Error. Code: 8. Not enough storage is available to process this command
