Put a description on the files and script problem

Post by Revro »

Hello,

My questions is simple:

Would it be possible to put a description on the files easily accessible?

And how to change with script, (or other if it is possible), the parameter:
"Alert if ...." for the status "bad" for all same tests.
Exemple: Alert if free space less than ....

Thank you in advance !

Could you please clarify what exactly do you need?
How HostMontor relates to your files and theirs descriptions?
What exactly descriptions do you mean?

You may change test parameters for many test items at once the following way:
1. Export required test items in to Text file (menu File -> Export to Text file).
You may create View to select required test items.
2. Modify exported text file:
- add into beginning of text file command: ImportMode = Modify
- replace all required parameters in text file using any text editor (find/replace)
3. Import modified text file into HostMonitor using menu File -> Import from Text file

Please check import file with detailed command descriptions at:

i wanted to say:

Just put a description on files (files at the left of the interface), to know what the files contains.

Exemple of a description: "Mail server"

At the left side of interface there are "Folders", at the right of interface there are Test items, located in selected Folder.
HostMonitor does not display files.

May be you need to see Test items description?
You may change visible columns (e.g. show CommentLine#1 column) using menu User -> GUI preferences -> Columns. Or specify Columns list for specific Folder, using Folder properties dialog.

Please check main HostMonitor Window description at:
