We were thinking about maps based on Google Maps API but this means you will need license from Google that can cost over $10,000 per year. This is much more than Advanced Host Monitor Enterprise license costs, I assume not many of our customers will use such tool.

On the other hand, may be you already have such Google license?
How many of you have Enterprise Google Maps API license?

No news.
And we did not receive any answer. Probably not many people need this option.

new map support

Post by menno »

hi Alex,
NO we do NOT need any google ent. map support.
We only want a overview of our network (not globally)
Back in the days Alchemy Eye implemented the map functionality.

??? WHY can Advanced HostMonitor make such a map function ???

Its very usefull to see where the problem starts and what effect it has on the network. in a "blink of an eye" you can see the problems you might have on your network.

So ...i repeat my question....will the be a map func. in the future ???
see screenshot (just an example)
Image

offtopic : will the be any google talk option available in the future ?

thanks for all the help so far. Until now its allmost 100% good for us. We are missing some small bits we solved with some dirty ksh-scripting.

many many thanks in advance ...and keep up the good work

Preferably a web page, so I can integrate it with my big-screen wall-board slideshow too

Well, there is network map in version 10, perhaps not exactly what you need.

Next 2 "big" tasks - "cluster" and "customizable map"

Screen shot for cluster?
There is nothing to show on picture, just couple new settings but a lot of changes in the code.

Customizable map?
We are not working on this task yet
