Compare files test can´t use %fvar_%

Post by totte »

When setting up an "Compare Files" and "Alert When files are different" test, I can use %fvar_variable% in the 1st file but not in 2nd file.

Test performed by HostMonitor? RMA? Software version?
Have you marked "Translate macros" option for 2nd file?

Oh, you are using variable as pattern, then everything is correct.

OK, then I would like to add this to wish list

I need to compare 2 files on different servers and using to "%fvar_clusternod1%","%fvar_clusternod2%" with the servernames

Like
Alert when files are different
1st file \\%fvar_clusternod1%\yadayada\file.txt
2nd file \\%fvar_clusternod2%\yadayada\\file.txt

I have added your request into "to do" list but I think this task will not be implemented soon...
