I have a new Active RMA installed as a service on a Windows 2008 SBS machine and RMA manager says it is connected and can query the RMA settings.

When I add a test that uses the RMA (e.g. PING localhost) I get a reply of RMA not connected.

Not sure how to go about diagnosing this.

Active RMA uses 2 connections: 1 for RMA Manager, another for HostMonitor.

>Not sure how to go about diagnosing this.

As usually, lets check the log (log files located in the same folder where RMA is installed, unless you changed path to the logs) and verify settings (IP address of HostMonitor specified for the agent, port specified for HostMonitor connection, firewall settings - it should allow connections on both HostMonitor and RMA Manager ports)

Regards
Alex

OK I figured it out, I had forgotten that I had to find the setting for the Active RMA server in HM and add the IP of the new server to the allowed IPs.

My bad, but I don't add new sites very often so was easy to forget all the steps that you have to do.
