Hi !

Is it possible to start HM with user credentials other than "local"? We have a user with specific rights which can't be assigned to "local".

Thanks.

PS. I know I can start HM as service and use RCC but what about the application?

You can start any application using some specific account - Windows offers "Rus as" option
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305780

Also Windows provides command line "runas" utility

HostMonitor always use "local" user/operator account on startup. However you may easily login under different account using menu "User" -> "Login as".

Also HostMonitor allows you to use another account on temporary basis, just when you need to perform some action. E.g. if "local" operator does not have permission to edit test settings and you click "Edit" button, HostMonitor will display "Access validation" dialog and offer 2 options:
- Temporarily change login (to perform this single operation)
- Normal login
