|
|
hi guys,
is it possible to change the content type for http/url tests with post requests? the default type application/x-www-form-urlencoded doesnīt work.
we need content type text/xml, but if we put it into the optional headers field it is completly ignored by the hostmon.
if you have any other ideas to get this test work please tell me.
cheers,
/stephan |

HostMonitor always adds "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" line for POST requests plus it may add your custom headers. E.g.
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Content-Type: text/xml
What if we change priority so header will looks like
Content-Type: text/xml
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Will it work for you?
Regards

hi alex,
iīm not sure. maybe it works. we did some tests with soapui and itīs necessary that the interface we want to check is contacted with text/xml otherwise we get a bad response.
what will be the next steps?
cheers,

You may install Advanced Host Monitor version 8.28 then download "unofficial" update www.ks-soft.net/download/hm828f.zip

thanks a lot. we will update our hostmon system and install the "unofficial" version.
but one little question: what is with future updates? is there something special we have to deal with?
cheers,

It depends on your answer. If this option helps you, it will be included into future release.
