Running a program and restart a server

Running a program and restart a server

Hi

I wounder if there is possible (and how it is done) to run a program or bat file on a other computer than the one Hostmonitor run on ?

We use Hostmonitor 8.14, and have set up an Agent on one of our DMZ servers.
From time to time a service fails on this DMZ server, and then I need to run a program (bat job) located on the DMZ server, and then restart that DMZ server.

I have set up the test that wait for the error to appear, but it is the Alert/Action I dont know how to set up, becouse it "Must" run on the DMZ server and not on Hostmonitor server.

Could you give me some instructions of how to do this ?

If you have RMA installed on the server, use "Execute external program" action.
"Execute by" property of the action allows you to specify what application should execute the action.
