Alert profile not working ??? ....confused ....

hi all
i have some problems with my alert profiles.
what i want is the following:

-do a ping test to ip 1.1.1.225 (example ip address)
-when failed , do a retest after 5 seconds
-when failed run external prog or do a play sound (does not matter what)

but when i configure it like this the seconds step is NEVER started.
even when i play with the settings "repeat after"
the first i going OK but the second NOT

it NEVER does the seconds step....i am confused right now...

what am i doing wrong ?? i use HM 7.74

Yes i looked at ALL logs but nothing is there.
All other tests are going ok...

i ceated a new fresh alert profile.
- add execute external program : ping 1.1.1.1 ( i added this line for waiting at least 5 seconds)
- add check host again
- add play sound option

so this is NOT working
i removed the "ping" (external program) nothing is working any more
no check host again or play sound is working any more

so..finally i removed everything and started with a new fresh alert profile.
did all the same steps but everything is still failing (see above)

i am not able to do more then ONE alert at the time...2 or 3 steps are not functioning

what i want ....
in some cases the memory or cpu is high on my windows machine.
i do not want to alert instandly
i just want to wait 5 seconds and test again
if failed then alert...play sound or what ever

so i want an alert profile that waits for 5 seconds and then test again...if failed then alert

please help me

We do this sort of thing for failed services.
In my alert profile:
1. Start Service, start after 1, repeat 1.
2. Set new test interval, start after 1, repeat 1.
3. Send emial, start after 2, repeat 1.
4. Set new test interval, start after 2, repeat 1.
Description:
On failure attempt to restart service.
Set the test time interval to 2 minutes so the test will check if the service has restarted.
If test still fails, send email and restore normal test inteval.
