Hopefully it's just a setting I am missing, but I am having two problems:(vers. 3.12)

1. If I shut down host monitor, and there are, say, 5 tests with a bad status, and I've already been alerted, and then I restart it, it seems that everything is checked again and I'm sent the notifications again. Is this by design, or am I configuring something wrong.

2. If I have a test that I de-selected the treat unknown status as bad, I'll randomly get a page that the test is now up. If the test is up to begin with, goes to an unknown status, and then returns with an up status, I would expect that I wouldn't get paged. The email says previous status: Unknown. Again, am I doing something wrong?

Thank you.

Brian

1) Just enable "Store statistics in HML file" and "Store Recurrences in HML file" options (located on Preferences page in the Options dialog).

2) I think you can set filter for "good" actions using "Action depends on 'bad' one" option (this option located on Action Properties dialog)

Regards
Alex
