Mail Relay Exchange 2007 IMAP

Post by eddymicro »

Hello,

I have configured the mail relay test using IMAP. I am able to send the message to the Exchange 2007 Server and I see the message in the Exchange Server inbox. But the test fails. Staus is "No answer"

I can send and receive from outlook with the account I created on Exchange,so I know the basic authentication is OK.
Has anyone used this with Exchange 2007?

I found this from another post on your forum.

When connecting a non-Outlook client to an MS Exchange mailbox the username has to be specified as DOMAIN/USERNAME/MAILBOX in the case of IMAP. MS clients such as Outlook Express or Pocket Outlook will allow you to use just the mailbox name, but this is not generally the case with other clients. Could you try the DOMAIN/USERNAME/MAILBOX format for the username?

Therefore I tried

For Mailbox I have tried using
Domain/username/mailbox

For login I have tried
username
domain\username

What should I try next?

I do not think this is login problem. When HostMonitor is able to connect to the server but cannot pass authentication or access mail box, it should set "Bad" status.
HostMonitor uses "No answer" status when it cannot connect to the server (cannot establish TCP connect). May be you have installed some firewall or antivirus monitor that blocks connection requests from HostMonitor to IMAP service?
