|
|
I'm looking for input on a list of generally accepted performance counters that should be monitored. I've found articles regarding a few generally accepted counters, but I would like to hear additional input. Which counters, out of the hundreds available, are most meaningful.
What I'm hoping to get out of this discussion is to develop a set of generally acceptable templates for General server status (CPU utilization, disk free space, memory, etc.)
Specific types of servers (SQL, Sharepoint, Exchange, etc.)
Other network devices (Router, printer, etc.) Alex/Max - Is there an appropriate place to post templates for people to share?
Posting the export text in a forum like this could get a bit ugly. A "members only" ftp site to upload/download the export files would be nice.
Also, I don't want to pollute the wrong forum. I'll start posting as soon as I hear from you guys.
Collectively I think we can come up with a set of templates that everyone can use, or at least act as a launching pad for those less familiar with HM specifically and network monitoring in general.
Is there anyone else out there willing to contribute? |

However, we have not started yet
For now, I can point you to some of interesting posts:

Hope, this feature will be implemented in version 8.
