How to do to not be alerted by netsend the night

Post by ben5901 »

Hello all,

Firsty, excuse me for my level english.

My question is :

Currently, I had parameter Host Monitor to receive alerts by netsend and Email when a problem occur.

But, as my servers reboots the night, the overnight, I am then alerted by netsend that a service has been down while it is normal.

How to do then to desactivate the netsend send the night in Host Monitor ?

Best regards

I think, you may use "Time restriction" option for the actions.
Quote from the manual:
http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... #TimeRestr
--------------------------------------------------------
Time restriction
Schedules can be applied to actions the same way they were used for tests. With schedules, actions can be customized per time of the day. For instance, an action profile can be set up to page both the IT manager and the network administrator during regular office hours, and to page the administrator alone the rest of the time, while doing nothing else but writing to the log on weekends. To make this possible, simply check the "Time restriction" option and select an appropriate schedule.

Hello,

Yes, I just found this solution.

I am then create a special schedule to not be alerted while the night and weekend. After this, I had choose to use this schedule for netsend.

However, I use a normal schedule to be alerted by Email all the time.

Is there a best solution to do this ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best regards.

Hm. If this solution suits your needs, it is, actually, the best solution. ;-)
However, if you have any doubts regarding this solution, please explain what do you have in mind.
