|
|
Hello,
When I start the RCC to our HostMonitor, I get an error stating "Error: Invalid floating point operation". This occurs when the RCC start loading the test list.
The HM server is a Windows 2003 Standard SP2.
Firewall en Virusscanner are disabled.
HM runs correctly on the system and management through the web interface is still possible.
Please help. this is a major problem
Regards,
John |

I suppose, you upgraded the HostMonitor, but did not upgrade the rcc, right? This problem might be caused by old rcc.exe
Please copy rcc.exe from the HostMonitor's location to the system, where you try to run rcc.

No. Allready tried that. I allso deinstalled the current version on the server and on my PC. This does not solve the problem.
There are more users accessing the same server and the problem occurs on all the systems at the same time. So it seems like somthing on the server side.

Hm. Could you provide more information, please?
- What version of HostMonitor do you use?
- What version of RCC do you use?
- What Windows is installed on the machine, where you try to start RCC?

Hostmonitor Version: 6.82
RCC Version: 2.0.7.51
Server: Windows Server 2003 Standard + Sp2
Local Machine: Windows XP Pro + SP2
I have tried it from outher PC's running Windows 2000 with the same result.
Since the error is generated while loading the test list, is it possible that the test list is corrupted? I can mail you the .HML file for you to check.

Could you also send all *.ini and *.lst files from HostMonitor's folder?
Please, compress the files before sending, if possible.

Yes, we have received files. Thank you
There is problem related to "apc01.smzg.lan State" test item. AverageReply counter is too high for calculations (10 ^ 60)
You may download hot fix, available at www.ks-soft.net/download/hm682f.zip
Then I would recommend to reset statistical counters for this test item
Regards

Hi Alex,
Thank you. This fixed the problem
The parameter is a SNMP parameter for an APC UPS. This is a 64 bit binairy parameter with operating flags. It is not possible to read these per bit (maybe a new feature) and I allready noticed that the Log Analyzer has problems with this. Maybe allso a reason for a fix in that department
Thanks again for the quick service
Kind Regard,
John |
