How do i connect to SQL server with Windows Authentication

When using the check MS SQL server method I can connect as sa, but if I attempt to do so as a domain user, the test fails with "no answer".

I am afraid, "MS SQL" test method does not support windows integrated authentication. You have to use "sa" or create another, less important user.

Thanks. Other options for monitoring the availability of SQL on servers without SQL authentication enabled?

You may use "ODBC query" test method. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/tests.htm#odbc
You may select "With Integrated windows authentication" for the ODBC datasouce you have setup for the MS SQL Server. You should use standard windows "ODBC Data Source Administrator" applet to do that.
