Hello,
I have problems to connect to a RMA-Agent running on an LinuxOS.
- I have installed the agent on Linux (uname -a shows -> Linux srv-bul-003.gedia.com 2.4.21-37.0.2.ELvmnix #1 Fri Mar 30 10:21:21 PDT 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux)
- After starting the RMA agent the deamon is running (ps -ef |grep rma -> root 5394 1 0 09:27 ? 00:00:00 ./rma /etc/rma/rma.ini)
- The agent is listening on Port 29 (netstat -a |grep 29 -> tcp 0 0 srv-bul-003.gedia.com:29 *:* LISTEN)
Now I tried to connect with RMA-Manager from a Windows 2000, but i received an connection error.
mfg
-> No Firewall, same subnet, logfiles seems to be ok (no entry found) |

To find out the reason of the problem, we recommend you to start rma in verbose mode: ./rma -i -vd /etc/rma/rma.ini
Could you also try to enable logging ([Logging] section in rma.ini)?
Do you see any errors in OkLogFile and/or BadLogfile log file?
Could you disable IncomeFilter in rma.ini (FilterActive=0 in [IncomeFilter] section of the rma.ini)

I have changed the parameter for IncomeFilter to 0:
->
FilterActive=0
I have enabled the logging mode:
->
LogSuccess=1
OkLogFile=/opt/hm_rma/tmp/log_ok.txt
->
LogFails=1
BadLogFile=/opt/hm_rma/tmp/log_fails.txt
The agent is running in verbose mode:
->
Command line checking .. Ok
Settings checking .. Ok
CPU testing .. Ok
stat.size: 8
srec.size: 8
int64 = long long
Basic encyption checking .. Ok
RMA encyption checking .. Ok
Sock testing .. Ok
[rma][12:58:10] rma Listening...
Now I tried to start the HMA-Manager but the connection to the agent failed. I don't find a logfile in the specified folder on the linux server.
Only the specified file for Verbose logging.
->
[root@srv-bul-003 tmp]# pwd
/opt/hm_rma/tmp
[root@srv-bul-003 tmp]# ls
log_verbose.txt
[root@srv-bul-003 tmp]#

Please verify, that port and password you have specified into the "Agent Connection Parameters" window are the same as in rma.ini
What value have you specified into the "Agent address" input box in "Agent Connection Parameters" window? Could you try to specify IP-address here? If your linux box contains several network adapters, you may specify certain IP-address as "Host" parameter in rma.ini (e.g. Host=192.168.1.5).
Could you send your rma.ini file to support@ks-soft.net?
