So, what exactly is working wrong? What is the bug/problem? What version of HostMonitor do you use? Windows? Service Pack?

I would like to monitor a shared folder on the server. I already mapped the shared folder yet it is not responding when I am copying & deleting files on that folder. I want host monitor to send an email to me when any changes on the folder occurs. I'm using version 6.42 on windows 2003 server. I'm using file/folder availability test method to see whether new files are written on the folder.

Please note, if HostMonitor is started as a service, it does not recognize any mapped drives (because is started under different account), so, we recommend you to use UNC path instead of mapped letter (e.g. "\\server\share_name" instead of "P:") You may use "UNC" test method: http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... htm#chkUNC to monitor shared folder on the server.

I think you should use "Count Files" test method ( http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... countfiles ) or "Folder/File Size" test method ( http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/tests.htm#dirsize ) to monitor changes of the folder.
