For each of the tests we've configured, the test name is set to the name of the server, so we have multiple tests with the same name (ie: a ping test, disk space test, cpu, etc). I want the ping test to be the master test for the other tests on this server. When I add the master test manually to sub-level tests, I pick the test name from the folder with the ping tests, and everything seems to work. However, I need to do this for hundreds of tests, so I want to use the replicator to create the same base sets of test for all of the servers I monitor. Now, when importing the new file, the master test is set, but it has no idea which test is actually the master (it will have the testname in there, but all of the other tests with the same name will be listed as a dependent test.) Is there a way in the import spec to tell the master test to be the ping test with the same name?
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks.

Hi Fishvict,
from my experience as (very satisfied) HM-user I strongly recommend you to use unique testnames. We always create one folder for one server or network device and use "Servername Test" as TestName like "MAIL1 Ping" or "DC2 c$".
This avoids the problems you experienced using the replicator. Moreover it makes it easier to identify a test in the quick log pane or using certain HTML-Reports.
Cheers
