perfmon /wmi - How to monitor that with perfmon Test method

Dear all,

we have installed Clearswift MIMEsweeper™ for Web

On that local machine (W2k3 Server SP1) I can see some application specific performance counters using
perfmon /wmi

I cannot see that counters from HM Server (another machine) using the Perfmon Test method (that was exactly what I expected)

Is it possible to monitor that additional counters using HostMonitor ?

Do you use "Select a counter to monitor" window? So, you do not see any performance counters on remote machine or you do not see Clearswift MIMEsweeper counters only? What about permissions?

Is it possible to monitor that additional counters using HostMonitor ?

You may type the name of the appropriate counter manually.

Yes, I can see counters, but Clearswift is missing. That counters are missing when I load perfmon too. Only visible with perfmon /wmi (at the
Server running Clearswift)
Account is domain admin

Server: \\WERPY001
Performance object: Clearswift proxy
Counter: Transactions highpoint

You may use following syntax:
\\Server\Performance Object(_Instance_)\Counter

So, you should find out the Instance. You may do it using standard windows performance Monitor on W2k3 Server SP1 where Clearswift MIMEsweeper is instaled.

If you may use WMI, use WMI. WMI technology works more reliable than Performance Counters.

Do you use RMA to work with that remote system? RMA does not provide counters list to HostMonitor so it shows local counters.
