Hot Standby Server Seperate Site

Post by CapQwerty »

I would like to have a set of tests that can be copied accros to another server and be automatically activated if the primary is down.

We can copy *.lst, *.hml and *.ini files
But how do you set up the tests so that they by default run on the primary except for a test or two that can monitor the primary and activate all the other tests on the standby server if if the primary fails for what ever reason?

Obviously I would like to have all the tests be able to setup on one server but the key tests are server aware and only run based on location or outage.

I would recommend to create separate test list for "a test or two that can monitor the primary". Assign HMScript action to such test and use LoadTestList script command to load original test list that was copied from primary server.
