Host Monitor v5.92
Windows 2003 Std - SP1
Count Files
Test Criteria: *.*, Count All Files, If > 8000 Files
I have a count files test setup. Frequently the test fails with a false positive status of "Unknown". It remains like this even though the criteria of failure is not met. If I right-click and refresh manually the status becomes good. This scenario occurs quite often a few times per week.
Why would the status be "Unknown" except when I manually refresh?
Count Files Test - Unknown Status
Then Unknown status may appear if some folder is not accessible.
BTW Do you really need to count files on entire drive? Such test will load the server a lot. If you really need this, I would recommend to install RMA on the server. RMA will count files locally, so you reduce network load...

Probably some network or server problem. It may process single request without problems but fail when HostMonitor starts many tests at the same time.
If you do not have a lot of test items, you may reduce "Don't start more than N tests per second" parameter (Behavior page in the Options dialog)
