problem with emailing a phone

I am having a problem with emailing to my phone using send email (smtp). the last two weeks all my messages from host monitor are scrambled ex @$#$%R$^%&<>?:"{}|\][[p instead of the actual message. Are host monitor email messages send as html or plain text? Can I default the email message to be send via plain text?

my phone email address is phone#@message.alltel.com

Version 3.71 sends e-mail only as plain text. Most likelly this is not HostMonitor related problem. Ask your service provider (cell phone operator)
