no reports were created...

Post by coldstrongvision »

Hi

I am using KS-Hostmonitor 5.70 and the Eval Version of Log Analyzer 5.06. I set up ODBC logging. Writing the data to a database and retrieving it with the Log Analyzer works fine.
So I tried to generate a report from an ODBC log, after loading an ODBC log (with the proper SQL command) I chosed Reports and All tests (no charts) but the generated HTML file is nothing but empty.

So what did I wrong? Or is there a problem with the log analyzer, maybe this function is not working in the Eval Version? A look into the helpfile didn't help me much. :)

thx

After evaluation period it does not generate reports. Do you see registration dialog when you try to generate reports?

Now, yes. Strange thing, sometimes it appears sometimes not. Now I "licensed" the Log Analyzer (the ppl here own a license but never set it up o.O) and the problem is still the same. I only see an empty html file.

EDIT: And every time I right click onto a test and chose statistics the Log Analyzer shows me a message like "This version of Log Analyzer does not support this type of logfile ()." Sometimes between the braces is a number like .24 . And I disabled the "common logfile" in the options, because otherwise KS-Hostmonitor writes the logs into the database and one big logfile.

is nothing but empty.
What exactly means empty? Size=0? Or there are some HTML tags in the file but no test entries?
In 2nd case I assume you are using report settings that filter out all test items. Please check date filter, "Include following tests" option, "Black list"...
"This version of Log Analyzer does not support this type of logfile ()." Sometimes between the braces is a number like .24
I assume you are using "24" as extension of the log file. That's why Log Anayzer cannot recognize file format. Use .txt, .dbf or .htm instead

Sorry, emtpy means that there are no visible tests. I set the filters to "No addtional filter" so neither a black nor a whitelist is used. Where do I find the "date filter" you mentioned?

Nope Iam using no logfile at all, because I'm logging into an SQL Server Database. :) And therefore I deleted all the existing logfiles.

What about "include following tests" property?
Date Filter: menu Search -> Filter
And therefore I deleted all the existing logfiles.
That's why Log Analyzer shows the error. It does not load ODBC log at startup. Yet
