traffic monitor on fibre channel?

Post by mp1 »

Hi,

Is there a possibility to get the traffic monitor to work with a fibre channel interface?

It works perfect with all eth nics.

When I connect to the fibre channel switch, than I get the interface fc0 down?

Thanks in advance

Not sure I understand the problem. Do you mean HostMonitor displays correct information about interface but wrong status in "Choose network interface" dialog?

No, unfortunatelly I get no informations, because hm says that the interface is down, but the interface is definitely up.

I tested it on 4 differnt fibre channel switches. Only the eth0 - management interface will be show as up.

I can't find any special configuration for SNMP on this swicht, I mean if there a differences between the fibre channel and ethernet port.

Does anybody have experience with a fibre channel switch?

Thanks,

Martin

Still do not understand. If HostMonitor cannot retrieve information, it does not say "interface is down".
Could you please send screen shot to support@ks-soft.net
