WMI and RMA

How old that record in Event Log? May be it has nothing to do with the problem? If you "refresh" WMI test, does new record appear in the log?

Checking again, I believe the actual test is working. But, when you go to select a WMI query, thats when you get the RPC error and it failes. In other words, I need to establish a VPN connection and authenticate via Windows in order to browse the WMI classes specfic to the remote server.

If the same classes and properties exist as the loca host monitor server, then I can copy the job and change the hostname, and Test by parameters.

Is this correct behaviour?

Correct. WMI Explorer does not work thru agent, it directly requests target system.
