|
|
Hello @all,
our HM testinstallation is running on a Win2k3 Server with a public IP.
Port 1054 is open. Connecting via RCC from another public IP within our Subnet works without Problem - even from local-IP-subnet
Connecting from HOME (WinXP with NAT Connection to the internet) gives only (after max 1 Second) "Connection Error". Our "Home-Router" has no rule to block outgoing traffic - all traffic will be NAT'ed out.
The funny thing is, that HM reports in "View=>RCI Status"
22:51:55 IP Connection from "my_PublicHOME_IP" .. Accepted
22:51:30 IP Connection from "my_PublicHOME_IP" .. Accepted
22:50:58 IP Connection from "my_PublicHOME_IP" .. Accepted
each time i try to connect via RCC.
"View=>SystemLog" log's nothing - related to these Connection trials, although "Options => RCI" all checkboxes are active.
In my UserProfile the "Accept Connections from" i've opend the hole ClassB Range i mostly get from my provider.
Is it not possible to use RCC through NAT ?
XP with RCC=>NAT-Router=>Internet=>PublicIP with HM RCI listening
BTW... how is it possible to delete a entry from "UserProfile =>Accept Connections from"
Kind regards
Uwe

It looks like RCC receives "refused" reply packet. But HostMonitor does not sends such packet when it records "Connection from .. accepted"
Could you try to connect to port 1054 using another software? E.g. telnet or IP-Tools?

Hi Alex,
thanks for your fast response.
"Telnet IP 1054" works fine (i see a blank screen without any dialog und a blinking cursor upper left) - same scenario from "working RCC PC" and "Error RCC PC"
But for all that i think its a problem with NAT.
Next test i have made.... we have a Win-Server with a public IP residing by our provider (and therefor outside of our Public-Subnet). RCC works fine (after this IP was registered in HM Host-Firewall and UserProfile)
Regards
