note: After the word "alive" there are about 4 to 5 trailing spaces that are not shown above
Finally we found the reason - spaces! Probably you have added spaces in SQL Query that inserts records into table ("%status ")?
Anyway, there is update at www.ks-soft.net/download/la504c.zip
It should work, it cuts spaces.

Actually, I have not explicitly added spaces, just passing %status% to the INSERT statement.

Anyway, Hooray! it works. Do I keep using this version of logsman.exe?

Finally we fixed that :)
Yes, you may use this version. It provides better diagnostics that standard (old) version, rest of the code was not changed.
