I would love if I could query AD, or more specifically, OU's, and import machines from an OU and have those machines placed into a folder, or multiple folders, that had tests already defined like mem usage, %disk space free, CPU usage etc etc.
Thanks,
MP

Great idea! I went into AHM, went to the reports tab and none of the reports look to be the dashboard report. I would like to have it generate a report every minute or so. Can you explain to me how I can go about generating the dashboard report? I can handle the synchronization to the web server. Th...

We are looking at using AHM for monitoring our NOC (network operations center) and connecting the monitoring server to a large 30 or 40 inch LCD. On the LCD would be the list of tests and if anything ever happened, a tech or help desk person would see the problem visually first. The problem we are h...

Hi Alex, Thanks for replying. I realize that if a test status changes to OK, then the alert will stop. That works great for tests like HD size, CPU util and ping and such, but this test is an event log test. My script, (runs from a logon script) will make an entry into the Application event log when...

Keep alert notification on until item has been acknowledged?
My deepest apologies if this has been asked before. I searched the forum for 'acknowledge" and could find what I was looking for. This is what I am looking for...I have created a test item to monitor the event logs. That part is tested and working great. What I would like is for the alert condi...

Using AHM to detect new software\spyware installs?
I am posting this here as it's not really a configuration question and surely is not a bug. It's more of a function that I am looking for and wondering if anyone is doing this now and\or if anyone could offer any ideas on how I might accomplish it? Basically, I am looking for a way to detect if a us...

Monitor registry changes for security
Hi everyone, In an effort to monitor the unauthorized installation of software and to see if it can monitor spyware as well, I am trying to find a way if I can use AHM to monitor changes or additions to the registry. Only a few reg keys would be involved... HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services and...

Hello gentlemen, Thank you for the replies. Let's see if I can explain the request a little better. I am running version 5.66 and wish to make my sub-folders specific colors. So for instance, if my folder structure looks like this... <HealthServices> (black) <Application Servers> <Mail Servers> <Mis...

Sub Folder coloring
Hi there, I have a simple setup, the top folder then a subfolder for each server type, domain controller, file server, mail servers. I was hoping to identify each sub folder with a different color. I right click on the subfolder in the left pane and choose the option for "Choose folders own col...

NT Event Logs, can it report "Good" instead of &qu
Hi Alex, Hope all is well. I am running an alert test of my application event logs to look for all events that relate to a successful backup. While that is working fine, the alerts are always stating "BAD" and this tends to cause cocern among the higher ups who get an email alert stating t...

vidyagana, I am using AHM to monitor my Veritas NetBackups via querying the event logs. By default, at least for NetBackup, the successful or failed backups do not populate the Windows event logs. I had to add a few lines to a config file to enable it to do so. Alternately, you can also use the &quo...
