Copy over email profiles?

Is it possible to migrate all of the email and schedule settings from one server to another? We are moving off of one machine and on to another. I have already copied over the test list but how about the alarms and all of the email settings that go with them? Can this be done or do I need to set eve...

Test the date of files?

Howdy, how have you been all these years? Good to see everything is still running well here. I have a question about file tests, is it possible to monitor a file for it's creation/modification date? I just ran into a situation where a config file reverted back to some old default from two years ago ...

Not sure I understand you. Do you need to be alerted when there are less then 24 file in a folder? In this case you should specify "Alert when folder contains more than 23 files" and set "Reverse Alert" option. In this case, if there are 24 or more files in a folder, the status ...

That doesn't quite work, if I do a reverse alert it will mean it is OK if there are more than xx files instead of it alerting if there are xx+y files. I am trying to get it to check to see if there is a total or less than, which I can't quite figure out. Might not even be possible with the current v...

Count files: Count fewer than instead of more than.

Is this possible?

A log directory we have should have 24 files a day in it, if something is missing and we only have 21 or 22 files it means several hours of the day are missing and something went wrong.

Is there a way to do a fewer than count instead of only a more than count?

rcc.exe <-- where is it?

Hello. We have had Hostmonitor installed for quite some time now under an Enterprise license (or whatever the highest one is), we have version 5.34 running now. I have installed the service as you have suggested in the past and I am now trying to find the rcc.exe file so I can remote admin the softw...

Option to not let HM run more than one instance.

If you don't want to run it as a service this would be a nice option. A check box like some programs (Winamp has this) that checks to see if an instance of Keynote is already running on the system. That way if it is in the startup menu and multiple users log into the system with the same ID you wont...

Hostmonitor not shutting down/letting Windows reboot.

Windows 2003 updated to whatever the newest version is. Hostmonitor 5.34. Running as a service. When we go to reboot the system Hostmonitor is not shutting down. The system acts like it is going to reboot, the Hostmonitor icon goes away... and then it comes right back and Windows acts like nothing h...

Need license key, didn't carry over.

KS-Soft, This is a bit of an emergency request as I am not at my work PC today and won't be able to get there. I just noticed that my install of Hostmonitor on my company's server did not carry over the license key when we moved from one operating system to the next. It now think's it's unregistered...

RMA wont start, says it's running, it's not!

We have this problem every so often on one of our servers. The RMA wont start because it says it is already running on the system.. thing is that it's not running, anywhere. I don't see it in the taskbar, the configuration tool has the service uninstalled, and I don't see anything listed in the task...

I am remote desktop in to that server If you can log in to that system localy or you can use some 3rd party applications (like PCAnywhere) instead of Terminal Service, you may easily avoid these problems and work with service directly. Regards Alex We use VNC here. It's free and does just what you ...

Any way to get a page after a test resets to green?

Here is what is going on now: We have some tests set up to monitor several Windows services. When a service goes down we get paged on our cell phones and emails are sent to our inboxes. Someone then logs onto the sever, restarts the server, and everything is happy, except for one thing, unless someo...

Any way to check for lowercase months? Or case insensitive?

I think I asked this before in the past but I do not remember.. Some of our log files have a lower case naming convention, such as sdc_jan_02 and sdc_apr_17. In Hostmonitor we can check for Jan and Apr but I see nothing listed as checking for jan or apr. Is there a way to do a file availability chec...
