Is there an easy way to find all the tests that are connecting with a different account than the application startup account? I want to find the test(s) that is/are using "Connect As" to connect with a specific account.
Thanks,
Rob

test connectivity over a specific port
Is it possible to configure a test that will verify that a particular port is open? I need to test to make sure port 1433 is open on one of our SQL servers.
Thanks,
Rob

Make test "red" for successful ping?
I have a single virtual server running legacy software that we can't get rid of. It's running on an old version of Windows Server that's no longer supported. I keep the server mostly in an off state. When a user requests access, I turn the VM on, then turn it back off when they're done. What I'd lik...

Folder Color No Longer Turning Red
I think this behavior just started today, perhaps yesterday. I installed a few MS patches on the computer today, for what that's worth. I'm running HostMonitor version 9.90, on Windows 8.1 Enterprise. When a test shows as "bad" the icon in the system tray turns red. In the past, the folder...

Error Message On Startup
Yesterday I updated to version 9.86 of HostMonitor. Now I'm getting this error message when I start the program: "The program can't start because zlib1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." If I click "OK" on the error, I get the er...

Both systems are in the same domain. I looked in the Security log. I see an Audit Success event from a NULL SID that seems to correspond with the right time. I also see an Audit Success event from the user account I use on the HostMonitor station, that seems to correspond with the right time. (I tur...

I installed version 9.40 (that's the same version I'm running on my XP machine). Pretty much the only two kinds of tests I do are Ping and Service. Almost all of the Service tests are coming back as Unknown, if the server is Windows 2008 or Windows 2012. A few of them are working, though. And all th...

Problem with Windows 7 Install
I've been running HostMonitor for several years on Windows XP. It's all working fine, running as a service. Today I installed it on a new machine running Windows 7. I don't have HostMonitor running as a service. Almost all the tests are failing now. They're still working for my servers running Windo...

Monitor Physical Disks?
Can HostMonitor monitor the status of physical disks? That is, underneath the OS, at the RAID controller level, can HostMonitor test to see if the disks themselves are OK? This is important as we are starting to move servers off-site, to co-location facilities.
Thanks,
Rob

Problem with RCC
We’ve recently started having a problem with using RCC. When we open it and try to log in, we get this error:
“String is too long. File may be corrupt.”
We’re using Host Monitor version 7.78.
Can you help us figure out the problem?
