Hi, Indeed, the idea has not a new test. Rather a way to interface with the hostmonitor service. A way to read test results, change test parameters, ... through a SOAP based WebService http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webservice This would allow us to interface HostMonitor with our frontend Asset manage...

SOAP access to tests
Hi, We want to integrate HM with an existing asset database. Currently we use SOAP calls to another monitoring app to configure the tests. Because of the lack of other functionaly, we want to check the possibility for HM to interact with our AssetDatabase Are there plans to implement a SOAP/WebServi...

RMA 4.0 will be able to establish connection with HostMonitor (RMA -> HostMonitor), however it will not be able to perform tests without connection at all. Regards Alex Alex, Great to hear this ! I'm waiting almost 2 years to provide monitoring to all our clients, and not only to those with a fixed...

Hi Alex, Any update on this topic ? We are reviewing this package again (project stopped for over a year.. sig) We really need to have the connection manner of the RMA changed. The RMA has to connect to the HMA server, and not vica versa... We use the RMA to monitor servers in networks that are sepe...

Can't you use that page as a test ? If you create a HTML test, that checks that page. http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx?IP=<ip of the server to test> Create a GET test, and in the advanced you can check if the contents contains a word like 'BAD' (I don't know what status a RBL listed server gets....

Yes ! that's the idea ! The current setup (HMA connects to RMA) remains, but the Agent connects at a regular interval to the HMA to send his public IP address... Could that be done ? It would be a great comprimise for now.. There are several ways the HMA could detect the public IP.. 1. the HMA serve...

The problem is that a lot of customers have a dynamic public IP. With the current AHM, it is not possible to connect to a RMA that has a dynamic IP. We could use DynIP or something, but that is not always an option... If the RMA could tell HMA what IP address it has, then most of the problems are so...

Alex, I've been thinking about this problem... There might be a middle way... We can keep the connection from the HMA server to the RM Agent. But the RMA should send a hartbeat to the HMA server on a regular base (changable in the INI file). the HMA Server should detect the public IP, and if it is d...
