Out of System Resources

Hi Alex - I'm running HM ver. 5.66 as a service on a W2K3 server standard edition with 4gb RAM & 4-3.00GHz cpu's. I have 2542 tests, mostly PING and UNC checks. Once a week I run out of system resources and have to stop and restart the service. Is their some type of memory leak? I've also sent s...

I changed UNC setting to OnePerServer and created a seperate folder with the problem tests (8 total, 2 for each server). I also set to "Non-simultaneously test execution" on "Specials" page. I still see the failures on my slower server, but do not see them on my new faster server...

I upgraded my machine to a Dell Power Edge 1850 running 4-3.0GHz CPU's, 3Gigs of memory on 2003 server. HM ver 5.38. Kind of frequently I receive either one of two error messages from a UNC test: "The specified network name is no longer available" or "Logon failure: unknown user name ...

Another question. I can complete a UNC mount from the cmd prompt in a few seconds, but the HM application takes almost 10 minutes (1010610ms), why is this? And where does the message: "The specified network name is no longer available." come from? I use the IP address on all of my UNC tests.

Bogus Error Messages?

I have two machines running HM 5.38, one running Server 2000 SP4, 2-450MHz CPU's and 512mb phy. mem. running about 2000 tests. The other running XP SP2 Professional, dual 2.9 GHz cpu and 1gig phy. mem. running 35 tests. The one running the 35 tests had no problems with any of the test all night. The...

I used the HMScript to change the value of my UDV, but in the .html file that is built, the UDV name still shows up, instead of it's value. <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" CONTENT=%udv_refresh_time%> When I use a HM defined variable like %Folder% it shows correctly <meta http-equiv="REFRES...

What I wanted was to change the refresh rate on a web page to 10 seconds when a test goes into a failed status.

Is there anyway to change the value of a user defined variable?
Say that I have a UDV set for 60. When my test fails I would like the value of the UDV to change to 10. When the test passes, I would like to change the value back to 60.

Nervermind I answered my own question. I added:
and ('%LastStatus%')=="Bad" and ('%StatusID%')=="01" to the clear event and now only generate 1 clear event when the status changes.

One minor problem. In Advanced mode I'm unable to select "Action depends on 'bad' one" or the "Start when # consecutive 'Good' results occur" or the "Repeat # time(s).

Can these options be turned on? or do I have to add some code to the expression?

Condition/Alert Question

Let's say you have four pc's and you are testing them with a PING test.
If one fails you generate an alert condition saying that the PC is down.
If all four fail, is there anyway to generate a different alert condition saying that the router/hub/network is down?

No changes, no patches. Just upgraded to 5.30.........You fixed whatever was broke. I know, it pisses you off when you can't pinpoint the exact problem.
