We have been using Host Monitor since early version 3, and have never even considered changing to another product.
New great functions added all the time, the problem is to have the time to implement all new test possibilities.

SMS run Commands
A nice feature to have would be the ability to send SMS in to the server and run Commands/Programs, you should be able to configure by the originated SMS number who can run the available commands. I use SmsMaker: http://www.way-x.de/smsmaker, from Host Monitor, I just let HM create a textfile in SmsMaker:s OUT-directory, and SmsMaker send it, I think it works just fine.

Why don't check out AutoIT from http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3, it's a very nice freeware, too bad it isn't that easy to have it run with screen saver on, but if your HM computer is locked into a server room, then it's OK. You can make a script that log on, tests functiopnality and logs of, and...

If test C fails, and it is dependent on test B which is dependent on test A, today it is likely that all 3 tests will make an alert. My suggestion is if a test fail, all master tests should be tested and then, as in the caseabove...
