I have updated the RMA, but it's still reporting status as bad, despite everything being green on the client. The reported status is "0:282:7.2.12004.2".

Okay; could you please link or send me (boris@meteorit.co.il) the required RMA update? I don't see any versions newer than what I have on the official download page.

Thank you.

I have replaced the hostmon.exe file with the one you linked, but the tests are still returning 'ESET kernel not running' status. Please note that I'm testing via Active RMA (version 7.34), not directly from HostMonitor.

I just upgraded to 12.64, RMA 7.64, and configured an antivirus/ESET test for a couple Windows Server 2019 hosts running ESET File Security. The ESET GUI shows that everything is normal, but HostMonitor is returning status 'Bad', reply '0:286; ESET kernel not running:7.2.12004.2'.

May be this happens because snapshots exceed the reserve space and spill into the active file system? Huh, you're right - I always set volumes to 0% snapshot space reservation in order to prevent this, but this upgrade reset a number of volumes back to the default 5%. These volumes were all part of...

NetApp free space monitoring

I'm monitoring several NetApp clusters that frequently have volumes added and removed. Among other things, I monitor SNMP table 1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.6 (.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.netapp.netapp1.filesys.dfTable.dfEntry.dfPerCentKBytesCapacity) for entries exceeding 80 (volumes or ag...

Trying to use v1 produces the following error: ----------- SNMP Error: No such name. Please note: You need to add ".0" to OID when you are checking single-instance counter. Add index of the element to multi-instance counters (element of the table) ----------- The counter I'm checking is a ...

HostMonitor failing to query certain SNMP OIDs

I'm trying to use HostMonitor to keep track of SnapMirror replication lag on a clustered DataOntap 8.3 system using SNMP. I'm already doing it on 7-mode DataOntap systems, but cluster mode uses a different table, and for some reason, HostMonitor is returning blank values when querying it. More speci...

VMware host health - filter certain alerts

We are monitoring a lot of Dell servers running ESXi, among other things. Every 90 days, every server runs a RAID controller battery test. During the battery discharge and recharge period, the overall host health rollup state changes, because the battery sensor goes into 'discharging' and then 'rech...

Web GUI does not display certain views

HM 9.90, Web Service 4.10. We have a view that is filtered, among other things, by expression ('%fvar_customer%' == 'managed', to be precise). This view is accessible by RCC, but the web GUI does not show it. Unchecking 'select items using expression' does make it show up, but that's not a solution....

Thank you. One more question - at roughly a hundred active RMAs, almost 13k tests and 42 tests/second, what value would you suggest for this parameter?

MaxActiveThreads parameter

Looking at auditing tool, the workload for our HostMonitor instance is estimated at 42 tests/sec, and there is a warning message stating the following: Active RMA may not be able to perform all the tests (35/sec). You may reduce test frequency or increase value of MaxActiveThreads parameter I sifted...

SNMP test question

I'm querying a NetApp filer's SNMP tables for values. The tables are organized as follows, as an example using the LUN table: .iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.netapp.netapp1.blocks.lun.lunTable.lunEntry.lunIndex = LUN number (.1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.17.15.2.1.1) .iso.org.dod.internet.private.ent...
