Jabber handshake fails
Greetings we're running a Java based Jabber server , Wildfire . When sending an alert to the server it would seem the handshake fails. We're using ssl/tls as an encryption method. Any guidance to sort this out would be appreciated. Output from standard logs on Jabber server > 2006.10.09 10:10:37 [or...
web site
This would probably be pretty hard to do, but perhaps at a simple level. Many sites we watch with host monitor are secure and secure in such a way that a simple pass/user name nor cookie will suffice. I've recently been using some perl from the script wrappers tests which works fine a much better wr...

BCC field to email alerts
Can you add a BCC Field to email alerts, we'd like to send some standard outage notifications from host monitors to our customers but we don't really want them to see other customer's emails.

One other request. Is there a way to set the default settings for rcc.exe? Plan is I send rcc.exe link to some folks they double click the .exe launch the client and connect to server, no manual entry of server or port required.... Never mind I can just use the .ini file generated when it is first l...

Prompts from rcc.exe
The new client for Host Monitor rocks.
The prompts do not (Save successful, Done, etc.). Will these go away when the beta is done? If not then I formally request that they do.

'wrapper' for non-dependant scripts
We run a Java engine (WebSphere) which hosts a number of applications any of which can fail for a number of reasons that makes the usage of Host Monitor's built in dependencies ability not as useful as we would like. As a result we've made a 'wrapper' test. The idea is that a failed test writes to a...

SQL Query in actions menu
If you choose to select to execute a SQL script in the action profile, there is a drop down field that only allows you to enter a one line SQL query. Please expand this to allow for multiple lines.

Multiple Users
We run Host Monitor as a service. Multiple users often want to log in and through the GUI check status of tests or edit tests. The web interface does not offer as much functionality as we would like for editing or viewing tests as yet so this is not currently an option (I'm sure this would change, H...

I am using ODBC Query, my apologies for not stating it clearly. I'm a bit confused about the SQL_FETCH_ABSOLUTE , it's not an option in the ODBC Query nor an option in the ODBC driver. So not sure where to look I do use the same ODBC to call several tests do you think that if the tool calls one test...

SQL Query Error
Hello,
Very infrequently (once every 100 tests or so, maybe) I receive this error running a ODBC SQL Query (Oracle Driver 8.01.07.00)
Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000
HM 4.42 on W2k SP3
Any thoughts?

Let's say I've got two groups of people looking at host monitor. Group A) The administrators would want to see if all of the servers responded to a ping test or if all the webservers were responding to port 80. Group B) Applications owners would want to see if some of the servers were responding to ...

Scripting Test error
minor bug- I'm using host monitor to point to an external .vbs file when I'm doing this host monitor appends "" the file path. Once this is done and I click the Test button (the one on the actual test creation pop up) I get an error 'Cannot open file'. I can remove the quotes and it will w...
