We have just started using MS Teams here, and spotted that the BETA can send messages to it...

Got it working in minutes - thanks, great addition!

I reviewed this recently as we had a similar requirement..... who monitors the monitor! We have 2x sites, one with a HM server. We use the 'built in' Watchdog application on a 2nd server at the 2nd site to alert us via email if HM goes down after 5/10 minutes (to account for a temp split in the netw...

Sensatronics EM1 Wetness and Humidity readings

Hello,
I have made a custom script to read the sensors of our Sensatronic EM1 units to feed into HM

I noticed that HM can read the temperatures of the sensatronic box natively and thought it would be great of the functionality could be extended to the wetness and humidity readings as well.

Thanks!

You could make a VBS script which captures the output of the text, loops through it and processes it. The below (bit messy sorry) example is an example of looking through the output of Ipconfig and sets a variable to 1 if it finds "192.168." within the output. set WSHShell = WScript.Create...

Watchdog as a service

Hi,
Just configured WatchDog monitor our HM service from a different site. I note that WatchDog can be run as a service but cant for the life of me find how to do this other than to create the service myself.

I assume doing a DIY service is the only way?

Thanks

File Count - File name mask question

Hello, We have a SQL backup process and I keep an eye on it using HM. A process takes the .bak files on the SQL server, compresses them and shifts the compressed version offsite. It renames the original, uncompressed backup from DBNAME_backup_201509121330.bak to DBNAME_backup_201509121330.COMPRESSED...

vmware replication monitor

Not sure if its even possible, however what would be a great addition is the ability for HostMon to monitor individual VMware vSphere replication (the freebie version from 5.X that requires its own appliance). Tests such as a replication item is in error or not, or when the last successful replicati...

These 2 severs are very under utilised, these are also virtual machines which sit on a host which has an awful lot of spare headroom. In fact, these virtual guests and hosts spend most of their life idle (seems pointless having them to be honest!). It is plausible that it could be the connection to ...

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have changed the time out of the RMA app on the target side to 120, and using RMA manager, set the server side to 240. Still the same.

There does not appear to be a time out alteration for the CPU test unless I am looking in the wrong place?
