I forgot to say, the test intervals are set to every second for the ping test and every minute for the service test. Will that make a difference?

OK, I understand about the "unknown" status, that makes sense. I'll take a look at the "Alive/Dead ratio" and see if that starts to make more sense to me.

Thanks for your assistance and help.

Keep up the good work!
"Unavailable"? Are we talking about "Bad" status? Sure, it is used for statistisc calculation. As well as Unknown status.
Basically, if the server that the service runs on is offline/turned off/etc... will the service or process test return a "failed" st...

Log Analyzer percentages

I currently use Host Monitor 6.80 to monitor serveral servers using ping, service, and process tests. When running Log Analyzer for my monthly reports, i noticed that the ping test was returning a 93.33% uptime and the service and process tests returned a 97.42% uptime. This didn't make sense to me ...

Unable to connect windows 2003 server

These tests are run on two almost identical servers and doesn't work on one of them. The status message tha...

SQL 2000 Database

I set up HostMonitor to log to a SQL database last month. I had the default logging mode to full. I currently have 72 tests with that monitor our servers and applications every second to every minute. Since starting the monitor process, our SQL database has grown to over 15GB in size. I realize that...

Log Analyzer 5.35 and SQL database

We currently have Log Analyzer 5.35 set up to log to a SQL 2000 database and are experiencing some EXTREME slowness when opening the log file. The database is up and running, Host Monitor is working perfectly, but it takes about an hour to open up Log Anayzer. Is there any light at all that anyone c...

I have been looking at the configuration of both the ODBC and the Log Analyzer and found the problem. I didn't have the format set up right in the SQL table. It seems to be working now.

I don't think I would have been able to do it without your help, keep up the good work.

Log Analyzer and ODBC

Good afternoon, I am in the process of setting up Log Analyzer (ver. 5.35) with ODBC logs. I am using SQL 2000 as my database. Whenever I click the "test" button in the ODBC Logs Manager, it comes up with an "Ivalid Date" error message for all the records that it has imported. I ...
