In DISPLAY FULL SCREEN GRAPH : when you do a "right-click + adjust" when the Y-axis is all negative (e.g. -10 to -100) you get an error trap moaning about values, and the adjust does not work. Minor thing. Both in 3.68 & 3.70 Ludo <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Ludo on 200...

I've been thinking this one over and come to my same conclusion again. You could still store date/time in a universal format like e.g. MS-Excel does, or basically all "databases" do, and display it whatever way the user likes. You wouldn't have to worry anymore about different internal sto...

In the full screen statistics, it would be nice to have a couple of navigation buttons "First/Previous/Next/Last". Then you could go to other tests without having to get out of the full screen mode first.

OK - message clear : it works - therefor : be happy don't worry. But I'm glad it's more or less explainable. For you interests maybe I'll list the exact timings ... 16:22:54 : service started 16:23:55 : logged on as "domain/user" (I indeed set delay to 1 minute) 16:24:31 : service hung The...

Hi, I've got 3.68 running as a service on a Windows NT4.0sp6a machine. - interaction with desktop is disabled - in "NT4" service manager, it's started with the "system account" - in HM, I'm using a different account to do things. Now, HM seems to start properly, the monitoring st...

Hallo Gert,

I thought this already is possible - one of the logging settings ?

->Log Settings->Save only if Host status changes

Is 't dat niet ?

I'm not all to sure yet about the format dates/times are stored in logs. There are some settings that allow you to play with the date/time format. If you modify settings at some point in time, old logs have problems with dates. I believe that date/time should be stored in a "universal format&qu...

Could the Log Analyzer become a standalone unit so that you don't have to open HM for that part of the job ?

Or make a command line option

HostMon /ANALYZE

for starting and analyse session only with NO option to see/change tests.

I couldn't agree more with what Hans says. 1. HM is a world-class tool to use, OK maybe not always the cutest GUI, but way above average. 2. Alex provides world-class service, equaled by only a few suppliers - definitely not "the big shots". And though workarounds are indeed no fixes, they...

Hi, as I'm new to both HM and scripting, I'm in the position where I could use some help ... What I want to do is test whether or not a file is on a remote system, using an FTP connection. I don't think HM can do that out-of-the-box, so I guess I need a bit of scripting - and I don't know how ...

I believe one of the next tools to be implemented in either Host Monitor or IP-Tools is proper MIB-discovery. I think it is very unfortunate having to look for other tools to find out about these far too complex object-numbers/names etc ... Am I missing an obscure menu item ? Is that reasonable to a...
