So we are not talking about actions, we are talking about templates? Yes, here you can use both variables. What about an enhancement ? Also giving the DNS-Name / IP-address translation And change test name automatically when HostMonitor or RMA detects remote host that changed IP address? Not sure t...

From the documentation: Section "test items" / "variables" %host% or %hostaddr% Represents the host name (or IP address) of the target System I use it in the "Test Name" and "Comment" field of my tests. What about an enhancement ? Also giving the DNS-Name / IP...

It works, thanks. But the dependant tests reacts a lot slower than the other tests which have the master-test directly configured. These tests change nearly immediately from "Wait for master" to "Ok" or "Bad" The "Expression based test" only changes after the ...

Dynamic Master Test

Hi all,

in the folder properties we can set an "Folder specific Agent".
That makes it a lot easier when we copy or move a test to other folders.

Question: How can I set a "Folder specific Master test" ?

Thanks

Sorry

The following variables may be used in the expressions that define Normal and Warning statuses (see Optional status processing section of the manual).

%Reply_Integer% is one step behind in "Use warning stat

Hi all, I use %Reply_Integer% in the "Use warning status if" expression (%Reply_Integer% > 500) It's a HTTP test. The status-switch to warning occurs in the test following the one that is slower than 500 ms. So it looks to me that %Reply_Integer% refers to the "last test result" ...

Testing several Proxy Servers

Hi all,

I have 3 proxy servers to the Internet.

I'd like to monitor them by opening "http://www.google.com" and record the response times

How can I set up HTTP or URL tests with different proxy servers from one single HostMonitor ?

PS: The proxy needs Authentication

Just to clarify (even I have missed this ) In the first case I tried 1.3.6.1.4.1. 14823 .1.1.5.2.4 Then I was pointed to .1.3.6.1.4.1. 17163 .1.1.5.2.4.0 So the change from 14823 to 17163 and adding the ".0" did the trick. You are right Alex, the leading "." is removed by HM...

Sorry for giving the answer myself.

I've got support in the Riverbed Forum

.1.3.6.1.4.1.17163.1.1.5.2.4.0

So a "." in the beginning and ".0" in the end.

So my problem is solved, but
can anyone explain why this is different to the temperature MIB ?
