Hi, Is there a way to see event information in HM like event viewer does ? Thus, with translated GUID's ? Example: I'll monitor (via event 566) changes on specific groups. Ok, I can use the GUID of that group to filter, but I will see in the event who made the changes etc ... Regards, Gert De Vleesc...

process test on a remote system
I 've a problem with a process test on a remote system. I know about the requirments for security and remote registry service. Let me explain my problem: - HM box (win XP, HM 5.92) is logged on with user 'A'. (not as a service) - user 'A' has no access on remote system (server 2003) - process test i...

Hi Alex, I did some more tests. I saw the file with the bad filename resides on a NT4 server. (while our HM runs on 2003) When the file is on a 2000/2003/XP there is no problem at all. Our NT4 servers will be migrated shortly. Now I know it's only on NT4, it's not a really problem for me anymore. Re...

filenames special characters
Hi, We use filecount tests on some folders. (jpg files) The files are dropped from differents sources. (sometimes macintoshes) It happens there are special characters in the filenames (wich are not really supported on windows i think), but when HM count these files, HM crashes !! (without any error,...

process test
Sometimes (on one particular server) the process test fails. When I reboot that server, the problem is solved. During the fail of that test, there is no reply. At the same time, other tests on the same server have no problem at all !(services, diskspace, folder checks, ...) When I edit that test, an...

esclation alert
Hi,
I want to setup an escalation alert when a test is bad for (example) one hour, independent of the test interval. (sometimes 5 or 10, ... minutes)
I think it must be possible via a formula in action properties => advanced mode.
Suggestions ?
Regards,
Gert

RMA Error 301
Alex, I do some tests via RMA on a server. All are ok but one: a performance counter test. I see the error: "RMA 301 - Error: Unable to lock a region of a file." The test had worked, and I guess that when I restart the RMA the test works again. (I will do this on monday) The other tests vi...

NT Event Log Test
Alex, Can you make it possible to choose more than one log to monitor in one test. Example: I will monitor all alerts in System OR Application log on a server in one test. We monitor events on a lot of servers, and now I have to make each test twice (or more if there are more logs such as Directory ...
