Alex Great to hear about your plans! My votes are for the following: Azure platform covered by Hostmonitor Sonicwall tests IPMI Tests RCC Android Improved Web Interface - I would really prefer a more functional web interface so that we would not need to use RCC. I might add a few more after some add...

AppendFile Syntax

Hello, What is the correct syntax (if possible) for append file where I want to append a log for the current week and also the previous week using macro variables. I have %WW%_%YY% and I want to add the previous week can I use %WW%[-1]_%YY% or something similar to that? this is in use but I want to ...

Alex,

We will provide wireshark soon. Note: IPMI 1.0 browser sees the bad power supply, with a status of Failure and a value of 0x300, although there is no alert.

Alex,

The power supply will be replaced before I can give you access. I will see if I can duplicate this on another test server so I can give you access. All of our servers are Supermicro. I will send an update next week. Thanks

IPMI Test Failure Status

Hello, We started using the new IPMI test. We did not receive an alert for a server that has a bad power supply. The power supply failed BEFORE we started using the new IPMI status, but the server still shows a status of "PS Failed" (Supermicro IPMI) . If this test looks at the log then I ...

Yes that is how I had set it up, with the dependent (second) test running every 23 hours. For some reason the second test is not starting directly after the master test completes, and that is what I want to happen. I have synchronize counters on for the second test. I think it was working at one poi...

Start Second test automatically after other test Finishes

I have an external program test that can take a variable amount of time to complete, it returns 0 when successful, it will run on a schedule of 4 times per day. As soon as it completes, I want to execute a second test, a text log test, to read the results from a file created by the first test. I can...

We are going to post some alerts to Slack, is this still the recommended way to do that?

Alex

It will not let me update the port for a group selection because I have a weak password. I do not want to update 500 agents one at time is there a way to bypass this setting

I changed the port for accepting active RMA and it seems to have worked. I ran a port scanner and it does not show anything on 5056 which is what we have used for many many years. So I do not understand why the hang of hostmonitor caused this chain of events and now the default port no longer works ...

Alex I can reproduce the problem, I just change the Enabled=0 to Enabled=1 in the ActiveRMA section. Then I manually start Hostmonitor and I get the same values in the syslog. I though maybe we tried to start hostmonitor twice, but I am sure that is not the cause because I can easily duplicate the i...

Windows 2012 R2 Standard Xeon e5-2650 128 GB Ram. We have been running Hostmonitor on this Server for more than 2 years without any issues. RMA Manager does connect fine ( we have over 500 Active Agents) Running 6.00. We changed no settings at all before or after the crash, and the 500 agents have b...
