I changed the parameters to 'cmd /c del c:\logfile.htm' and that works great. So finally, this morning report activity is working perfectly now. Thanks Alex for your help and a great product. P.S. Also on the email format setting. I didn't explain this clearly enough. When the file is found and the ...

Couldn't get a server box, so had to proceed with trying to get this to work on Windows 7. Made some progress: 1) Ok, the writing to log file is working now. The problem was that double quotes get added to the file path automatically in the "Add record into specific log file". After removi...

I double-checked the path_to_file strings. Their correct. Even copy and paste to make sure. I looked in the syslog and it doesn't say anything. The only error it states, is when the email job is scheduled it complains about file not found. I will ask my group if there is a server available to instal...

This is how I have it in the email:

<<IncludeFile=C:\Program Files (x86)\HostMonitor7\Logs\overnight.htm>>

The actual email from AHM says 'File not Found' including with the above statement.

Version 8.14
I'm on WIn 7 x64 if that is of any help.

Thanks

Report not getting created

I'm receiving the emails that are suppose to have the overnight.htm report in it, but it states that no file has been found. I double-ckecked the settings to make sure dir and filenames are correct and they are. So I don't know why it's not creating the report. I've checked the app event log, nothin...

I was referring to the second part of you answer... Then you may create another action profile with 2 actions: - "Send e-mail" action. Use <<IncludeFile=path_to_the_file>> directive in e-mail body - "Execute external program" action. Use this action to remove used log file The fi...

Thank you Alex.

I'm now having problems with the new action profile. Should the actions you suggested happen on the "bad status actions" or on the "good status actions"?

And how is it activated? Does it run even though it's not selected in "Alerts"?

I apologize. I didn't clarify myself correctly. It's not for an individual test, but all my tests. I would like to report only the tests (out of 150 +/-) that failed overnight

If my website is going to be on a linux/apache setup, how can I "call" the Log Analyzer to display this data or get the data from LA?

Thank you for your time.

Can AHM summarize event data and export it?

Hello, We are looking into creating a front end summary webpage for the many network applications we use. I was wondering if Host Monitor can summarize event data for a given time and export that data? I looking specifically for events that happen over night and would like to display this in the sum...

Change testing time after a failed state.

Hello, Is there anyway to change a test's timing after it fails? Example: I have PING test that cycles every 10 minutes. What I'm trying to figure out is, when the test fails, how do I get it to test every minute (or N seconds) until the test returns to a good state then it can go back to it's regul...
