I gave the current week only option a try, but then was confused about how to do monthly or quarterly reports using the same profile. Then it hit me (duh!), I can have multiple profiles defined against the same database. So I made duplicate profiles in the "setup ODBC logs" screen and chan...

ODBC logs and log analyzer

I have recently moved away from text log files to instead use a MySQL database for event logging. Now that all the events are going to the MySQL database, I have a question about how to read that data intolog analyzer. I am using a *.las script file to run reports and am using the "loadtable&qu...

follow up

Thanks for the info Max. The private log per device might help in displaying the detail for a device but I'm not sure how actually. I can't see a way to report all the results for a device even if the data is in one log file. Another problem with single log files per device is what if I have 100's o...

Report with response details

I am trying to create a report that displays all the responses to a ping test for the past day for a particular device (or for a folder). Any ideas on how I might accomplish this? The report could be a simple table that would list each time the ping ran and the response received.

I am already able to get the space free (using a UNC test), what I am trying to figure out is how I can test for the "rate of change" i.e. how fast is the free space being reduced.

Disk free space test - rate of change?

I am trying to find a way to alert when disk space free falls at a particular rate - for example a 1% change in free space since the last test was run. I know I can test for total space free, but in this case there is lots of space free, I just want to know when someone starts a big file copy and re...

Do you see event description using Windows Event Viewer? If description is missed there, then I think its registry problem.
The answer is yes, all the event descriptions are displayed in the Windows Event Viewer.

The test is set to monitor Event ID "Any" and Event Type "Error". All of the error events so far have come back with a blank reply. I checked the event log and found error events like this in the recent list of events: 1111, 1215, 7024, 12, 15. The RMA is loaded on each of the x6...

Yes, RMA is running on 3 servers that are x64 2003 SP1 Windows. All 3 of these severs have the same problem.

We do not have the problem on the regular 32 bit servers running RMA.

Yes, the "Show events description in Reply field" box is checked.
We do see event details from other tests monitoring the event logs on other servers, just not on the 64 bit servers.

Windows Event log missing %Reply% details on 64 bit servers

We are using HM 5.88 and we monitor a few x64 2003 SP1 Windows servers.

The problem is the event log events on these 64 bit servers. The RMA picks up new events, but the %Reply% strings for these events are always empty. I have tried various RMA versions and are currently at version 3.35.

Date macro and scripts

I am running version 5.12 and have a question about the use of date macros. Right now my log file changes each night and I am using the file name format mm-dd-yy.txt. Each night I am updating some reports that include all the daily logs for the current month. In the script that runs the nightly repo...

I am not very familar with performance counter tests, but I was able to try a few of the performance counter tests on this server and they worked fine. When I tried to do a Process test using Performance Counter it returned an error. This is the error message: Error: 301 Error: The specified object ...
